What Is the Content Session?
It's half a day with a producer, not half a day with a room.
Based in my private, fully equipped Portsmouth studio, we'll spend the session conceiving, developing and creating content around your business. Before you arrive, we'll talk about your business, who you're trying to reach and what you'd actually like your content to achieve.
Then we'll plan a session around you.
That might mean recording a conversation with a guest, interviewing you about your expertise, answering the questions your customers are always asking, making short videos for LinkedIn or your website, or a combination of all of them.
You don't need to arrive with scripts or a list of things to say.
That part's my job.
think differently about content and how to use it.
don't start with the audience
You don't need to start with a "podcast". Content creation, regularly dropped into social media and your website is great for your visibilty externally, but you can use it even before you film anything. Most people thinking about starting a podcast immediately worry about how many people will watch it. But there’s another question that might be far more valuable to your business. Who would you invite to be your guest?
who would you love 45 minutes with
A potential client? An existing customer you'd like to know better? A referral partner? Someone interesting in your industry? Invite them in to have a conversation. You now have a genuine reason to spend 45 minutes talking to someone you'd really like to know better, while creating useful content for both of you. The conversation and relationship built could be every bit as valuable as the audience.
what could we make?
It doesn't have to be a podcast.
Perhaps we start with a 45-minute conversation with your guest.
Then I interview you about three or four subjects that matter to your customers. We might record answers to frequently asked questions, make a few short pieces for LinkedIn, record something directly to camera, or finally make that video your website has been missing for years.
If you’re uncomfortable presenting, I’ll interview you. If you’d rather speak directly to camera, we have an autocue.
You don’t need to become a presenter. You just need to know your business.

ALAN HOWARD PRODUCER/DIRECTOR
I've spent more than 30 years producing and directing television and corporate programmes, working for broadcasters including MTV, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Discovery, Sky and Eurosport.
I've worked with experienced presenters, celebrities and business leaders, as well as plenty of people who had never been in front of a camera before.
A big part of a producer's job is knowing what questions to ask, spotting the interesting part of a story and helping people forget about the cameras and simply talk.
That's what you're hiring.
